COULD you capture Cheshire’s identity in a single frame?
Crewe photographers are being sought by the organisers of Middlewich Folk and Boat Festival for a photographic competition.
Kerry Fletcher, heritage officer, said: “This competition has grown over the last three years and the standard of entries is fantastic making life very difficult for judges.
“It’s also great that a few budding photographers have been taking part along with their families and this is something we would like to see more of.
“The Cheshire area has so much to offer that its great to explore it.”
All pictures will be put up at the Town Wharf during the festival and visitors can vote for their favourites.
Snappers can enter their photos in four categories - urban environment, landscape, environmental conservation and general.
The competition is also open to youngsters who are 10 and under, 11 to 17-year-olds, amateurs who are over 18 and semi-professionals.
The images must be taken in Cheshire in 2011 or 2012.
Entry forms are at the Victoria Buildings, the Accord Clinic, Hightown, and Middlewich Library, or online at middlewich-heritage.org.uk For full details call 841379 or email heritage@middlewich.org.uk
