12:00pm Sunday 14th March 2010
MIDDLEWICH Tesco workers are being urged to familiarise themselves with the supermarket’s business and ethics policy during their 90-day consultation.
The wife of one of the workers got in touch to say the document, which is available to Tesco employees, could help people know their rights during meetings which could determine their future.
It says: “Ethical conduct is defined as that which is morally correct and honourable.”
In a message from Tesco’s president, written in 2004, the document adds: “I expect managers and supervisors to promote compliance by example and by providing guidance to other employees.”
